FedCon 19 - 2010
Maybe some dead links, nearly complete!
Welcome to my report on the FedCon 19, which took place in Bonn, Germany for the last time. This year, my report will be a little different as I was heavily involved with organizing the Star Trek New Voyages /Phase II showings and did not have time to take many pictures.As last year, I took part in the FedCon Press Conference and recorded it on video, yet with two cameras this time. The full recording is now available online.
James Cawley, Stephan Mittelstraß and I were also responsible for showing the Star Trek Phase II (aka New Voyages) episodes "Enemy Starfleet" and "The Child" at the FedCon. You will find our full report on that, too.
Cameras Used
This year, I used three cameras for the images and clips:
- Panasonic NV-GS90 Camcorder (used for video of press conference, world record attempt and James Cawley's panels)
- Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ30 (12x optical zoom, image stabiliser).
- Nikon Coolpix S10 (10x optical zoom)
The video camera was used with permission of the FedCon GmbH. All FedCon videos clips have been approved by FedCon for release here.
Most pictures were taken, at 3, 5 or 8 Megapixels, with the DMC-FZ30.
Most of the pictures are shown here at 800x600 pixels on this website.
Pictures
As this year, I was heavily involved with showing New Voyages/Phase II episodes at the FedCon, I was not able to take anywhere near the same number of pictures than usual.
The file names indicate the exact date and time the picture was taken
(e.g. 20100501_180520.jpg means the picture was taken at 18:05:20 on 1st May 2010).
Please remember that although I am providing the images here free for online viewing, please do not use them on other web sites, etc. without my previous permission and a suitable reference (Copyright: Peter Walker, www.trekcon.de).
FedCon 19 - Phase II Films
We are pleased to have been able to arrange the showing of the two Star Trek Phase II episodes at FedCon.
It was a lot of work preparing and checking the German subtitles, preparing the videos for display on the big screen, etc. I would like to thank James Cawley and his team for providing the video material, Stephan Mittelstraß for his hard work creating the subtitles and those two great posters, Dirk Bartholomä of FedCon GmbH for allowing us to show the films, and Tara Walker (my niece) for helping to film the press conference and all her other help.
We hope those who saw Phase II at FedCon enjoyed the show.
Group Pictures - FedCon Staff
Every year, one or two group pictures are taken and I normally try and take the same pictures as well.
This year, I was only able to take the pictures of the FedCon Staff, due to my activities showing Phase 2.
